New Beginings.

The smell of fresh paint, and the sound of the roller smooshing against the wall brings me to my happy place. I crave change. Complete upheaval. The paint coats the wall and makes it fresh and clean. It changes the way our home feels and makes us look around at our surroundings in a new way. It feels bigger. Brighter. Better.

Lots of big changes coming in our home. Well, big for me and my small budget. New designs and soft places to land.

  2. charcoal black livingroom walls, baby! OH YEAHHHH!

They look amazing. We're working hard at changing things up around here. I NEED change. It's vibrating in my bones. Because this house is so cheaply made and has no character, instead of getting a "lived in, worn in" look, it just falls apart and looks awful. We've lived here for two and a half years, and it's a dump. I dont' want to think about what will happen after 10 or 20 years if we stay here and don't keep up with it! So, all the walls need to be patched and painted. We're on it!

  3. Wow, that's going to look SO GOOD. I love charcoal grey. Such a warm colour, despite being so dark! I have no doubt it will look fabulous!

And your house is one of my favs. You have a gift at making a space feel warm and loving. xo

  4. Wow, Opal! That wall looks awesome! I've been toying with the idea of painting a wall black for a long time but, as ever, you're much more brave than I.

I sense this might be a New Beginning...
